Trip to Fiji -> Home Sweet Home

I always look forward to going to Fiji, my home. This time I went home on the 22nd of December. After 4 years, I was home during new years. I always went home during summer time. It is nice to be home during festive seasons with all the family and friends around. I had a wonderful time in Fiji. I was there for 6 weeks and before I could realize, 6 weeks were over.

They are the two most beautiful children in the world.

They are my nieces. Aren't they so cute...?

I wonder what my sweetheart is thinking?

She is my mom, enjoying every moment with her grand-daughters.

Boothbay Harbor was nice. I spent 6 hours there and did not get bored at all. It is a very small town with nice waters around and cute tiny shops. I had good time there. The weather was wonderful as well, perfect day to be out, out of work. Enjoy the few photos I manage to take...

Bar Harbor Trip

Trip to bar harbor was so much fun. Was quite early to leave so I slept for an hour of 2 hours ride. The weather was really nice, warm and sunny, perfect weather to be out. Bar harbor downtown was next to coast, was very beautiful. Lost of tiny shops, very touristic place.

Montreal Trip

Trip to Montreal was so much fun. We left college at noon, the ride was fun as we sang, joked, laughed and slept through out the ride. We reached the border, had all our documents checked, some problems with my documents as they thought I did not have a visa but it all worked out in few minutes. The above photograph was taken at the border.

Montreal is a very beautiful place. We stayed at a Hostel, it was a bit far from downtown, quite a lot of walking we did.

Just walking down the street to downtown we took picture of that dude standing at the window, not a real person but atleast someone was watching us hehehehe....There were lots of small shops. Lost of restaurants, and interesting thing was that all the restaurants had all their windows open so it seemed like there were no doors or windows just open space restaurant, in summer they can do that coz its hot, was really nice to see such restaurants.

This is the hostel we stayed at, it was cheap and quite nice. the rooms were huge with its own washrooms. We were very comfortable there.

Portland and Boston Trip-2005

Portland, Maine, is a nice cute place. I made couple of trip to Portland this year, going to the mall, just walking around old port, good food at Indian restaurant with nice wonderful weather. I do not any photos from Portland except for the one on the left. Next time I go to Portland I will take pictures.

Trip to Boston was great. We left college at 7am and reached downtown Boston at around 11:30pm. Weather was great, sunny and hot. Lots of people, I was very happy to see colored people as there are lots on Boston but very few in Maine. The photos below are all from Boston trip this summer.

This is Duck Truck, very cool truck, looks funny but does cook stuff. This is touristic stuff again. It takes tourist on Boston downtown tour, shows them around, tells them historical facts and stuff and then takes them in the water, it actually goes on water too, thats why it has that funny shape.

These dudes are actually dancing , not fighting as it looks like. If you have seen the movie " You Got Served" then you will know about this dance competition. They were just demonstrating at the Market Square and they were really good.

London Trip-March 2005

I went to london last spring in March for a week...Even though i went alone..it was so much fun finding things out..getting lost...hehe...was a great adventure. I stayed at a Hostel and mostly internationals come to that hostel...it was 10 pounds per night..i think thats a real good deal...:)I had to do quite some travelling from ma college to get to london. First i got a ride from ma roommatefrom college to Connecticut where she lives...stayed there a night...caught a train from there to grand central train station in New York and then from there i caught a shuttle to JFK. And the i was in London. That was the first time travelled to New York by myself...was fun.

This is inside victoria train station. Its huge and nice...ya i had to take trains and travel a bit too like going to east or south london...it was so much fun asking the station masters for direction. Had to carry a map while travelling in train coz have to change trains at certain places in order to get to ma destination...was fun.

This is BigBen...the worlds most famous clock...it is on the parliament building...but clock tower is not called Big ben, its the thirteen ton bell hung within. The bell was named after the first commissioner of works, Sir Benjamin Hall.

This is the famous London Bridge...its so beautiful in the night.

This is at Trafalgar Square...really nice to hang around in nice weather...very happening place, full of people most of the time. This is the same place where Amrish Puri was feeding the peogons in "dilwale duhaniya lejayenge".

Red bus...was so much fun riding in red bus...especially the double decker one...just seat on the upper level and enjoy the sites...i travelled so much in bus...in one week i have travelled so much in bus there and prior to that i have never been on bus so many times...i had to figure out and remember all the bus numbers so that i dont get lost...i almost did once but was lucky...

London Eye...was built in new millennium...very huge...can see central london from it....

Victoria, BC(Canada) Trip - March 2005

Trip to Vancouver and Victoria was really nice this March during Spring break. I stayed couple of days in Vancouver, I like that place. Had some good time there with friends. But most of my time of this trip I spent in Victoria, one week. I actually studied at one of the United World Colleges in Victoria, so I lived there for 2 years from 2001-2003 and I just loved the place. Very beautiful place. I went to visit my host family there. They are Fijian family, very homely and nice people. Just like my own family. I also went to visit my former college there as well. Was just nice to be back. The doll in this photo right here is actually my host sister's favorite doll. Isn't it so cute? My host sister is just like a real sister to me, I love her company, as well as my host mum's.

*This first pic was taken from my host sister's camera which had the year and date right but my camera's date was messed up so all the dates are wrong but its not fake pictures, I took them this March 2005.

Ferry ride between Victoria and Vancouver is my absolute favorite. It is about 1 hour 35 minutes ride. I just love to be on the decks during the ride. If one is lucky, then one may get to see a whale. I like the cool breeze, sunshine on my face, just love it.

Going between the islands is just amazing. Tiny islands, lots of trees, some kool houses. I would love to live in one of those Islands.

Victoria Downtown

Quebec Trip (Fall 2004)

Quebec Trip last Fall (October 2004) was so much fun. Quebec border is about 2 hours drive from my college and Quebec city itself is 2 hours drive from the border, so 4 hours drive in total. It was me and bunch of my college friends. The ride was long and worth it as the scenery throughout the drive was amazing. Leaves with different colors, just too beautiful. We watched "Bruce Almighty" through our ride, was so much fun. We stayed at a hostel in Old Quebec City. It is a very touristic place. Friendly people, most of them spoke English or had some knowledge of English. So if you don't know how to speak French, you need not worry as you will do fine with your English. Ofcourse I tried to use the little bit of knowledge I had of French, which is not much, maybe less than 10 words, enough to put smile on peoples face. Weather was nice too. Fall season, changing colors of leaves, bit cool weather, rained a little bit, otherwise nice weather. Pictures from this trip are from Old Quebec City.

This is my buddy, there are really nice carvings and art work around in Old City. This is one is the carving of a red indian. Don't we look so cute together hahaha.

This is the wall that divides Old Quebec City and New Quebec City. Quite difference between them. Old City is very beautiful, quite European atmosphere. Cute tiny shops, some big shops as well. Hilly at some places, good food. They have a Salsa club in old city, very nice, good music. I just love salsa and marengue, even chacha and swing. They had a Cuban band playing when I went and it was really good. I had good time there. New City is with big buildings, modern architecture. Nice place.
